Wendell
Shannon was born and raised in Baltimore City.A graduate of the
Baltimore City Public School System, he went on to obtain his A.A.
degree in General Studies in 1995 from Essex Community College. He
continued his pursuits as a dual major in Management Science and Applied
Psychology at Coppin State University.
Having survived the violence in West
Baltimore firsthand, his first novel, "For the Love of
Fast Money", was released in October 2004 and
"Business As Usual" in December 2005. His
outlook is a clear reflection of his environment and what happens on
Baltimore City streets everyday.
In an
attempt to rise beyond expectations, Mr. Shannon formulated his own
publishing company—Go Daddy Productions, Inc. Prior to his first
release he has operated his own bookstore in downtown Baltimore.
Words by Wendell was opened on September 11, 2004. This venue
has created a gateway for self-published authors to showcase their
works via book signings.
The key objective to his visions is to help publish
and expose the work of those who are without the proper resources.
Mr. Shannon resides with his wife and family in Odenton, Maryland
where he continues to work on up and coming projects.
