With a passion for words and a heart dedicated to
social change,
Eric S. Coleman began his literary journey at Morgan
State University. Although Mr. Coleman majored in Biology, writing
became a positive outlet, as well as, a way to fill the empty void in
his heart. Eric S. Coleman began writing poetry in 1998. In 2002, he
became a special education teacher in the Jersey City Public School
system and he also published his first book of poetry, God’s Frozen
Teardrops. During this time, Eric began performing his poetry in various
clubs in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington D.C. Due to the
positive response, Eric Coleman began taking his poetry out of the clubs
and into the classroom. He toured various schools in Newark and Jersey
City, teaching both kids and adults the power in words. Now, Mr. Coleman
has embarked on a new journey. With his debut novel, Spirit of the Wind,
he seeks to show the world that prayer can change the most difficult
situations. Mr. Coleman believes that, “through hard work and prayer you
can overcome any obstacle.” |
