Description:

Born, Tip, and Black were destined to live the glamorous life, and hustling made it happen. This trio had plans to rise to the top and stay there. However, when it was all cut short by a drug deal gone wrong, life as they knew it was never the same. Now with only two left standing, one wants to get away from it all, and the street is all the other knows. Born is pulled back by the one thing he knows best: the rap game. When things seemingly can’t get any worse, dead bodies start falling all around them. Will cash, cars, and endless groupies be their downfall, or will they make it legit?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

King Jewel resides in Maryland with his family. Thirteen and a half is his first novel. He is currently working on his second book, Can’t Change A Player’s Game, and is the co-owner of New World Publishing.

Reviews:

One of this book's greatest strengths is weakness. King Jewel was not afraid to show his male character's vulnerabilities. So many times today in urban lit characters are running about like Teflon dons. No one is afraid to die. No one sheds a tear. Well these characters mourned the loss of their friend. These characters feared death. Kudos to King Jewel for showing his strength….Filled with drama and suspense, Thirteen and a Half is a solid debut effort. Move over New York , there's a new author on the horizon.

Jewel did a marvelous job with his debut Thirteen & A Half…has a wonderful gift for story telling…have readers anticipating the next move page by page, just as if you were watching a film. The author does a great job! This was a great literary debut for King Jewel and readers will eagerly await the next literary effort from King Jewel! Thirteen & A Half is indeed a jewel of a read!
